Godiva - " Gift of God "
Godiva was latinised from of the English word Godgifu or Godgyfu, Princess Godiva appears in the history of Ely Abbey , the liber Eliensis at the end of the 12th century. In the 11th century Princess Godiva and her husband leofric lived in Conventry, England. Her husband was a powerfull ruler who was unsympathetic to the citizens of kingdome. Princess Godiva was a woman of great generosity who had dedication her life to the impoverished and stricken.
